And - just that all comes together - this mountain was in our way:
from the other side it looks like this:
of course motivated people (or cyclists) can go longer sections if the want:
and there are also special camino-road-signs:
The last1,5 hours felt like forever. Even though it was a nice scenery: on the right side we had an old channel (built between the 18th and 19th century as a transport route):
But the sun already started to set, and it was windy the whole day, it was getting cold... But finally - finally we got to Fromista. My book also suggested a nice hostel to stay at, they had open, so it all seemed fine. With the exception, that exactly the guy sleeping below me in the bunk bed snored the whole night through... I had my music with me, but it was not enough to be louder than his snoring. So I slept only a few hours with some music-listening between the sleep-phases. Anyway, this is an experience that also belongs to this road I guess.
and this image of the main square of Fromista was really nice right in the morning:

Thanks for writing in English! Now your "left back alone" husband can at least follow a bit better your trip - I envy you - the pictures remind me of my trip in 2000 through the backcountry of Spain. I guess now you understand my emotions when it comes to the landscape of Espagna... Saludos de un Viena muy frio...
