They killed Kenny!

Right now i have an ultimate enemy, and it is called the PUC exams.... (+ those 2kg-s i've gained already and that make my tight jeans uncomfortable. who was the one inventing gaining weight, anyway???)

But what is a PUC? And the CET?
Well, the indian schooling system is similar to ours, whith some differences. The main difference is that apart from really few governmental schools, tution fee has to be paid here - the higher the educational level (primary-upper primary-secondary-university), the more the fees.
The other difference is that here one of the main milestones in the 10th grade (or standard, as they call it here). It is similar to our 8th class in HU, after that one has to make all the entrance exams for the secondary schools. So here, following 10th grade, there are some governmental exams, and one can decide on the further studies - science, commerce or arts.
Science means maths, chemistry, physics and biology, commerce is similar with some economics, and arts includes
fine arts, literature, etc.

Once the decision is made, there is not much chance to change the course, and there are also no more "extra" lectures (like literature for science-students), only the main lectures + some languages. And after the two years PUC (=11th and 12th class) there are two big exams, one is the PUC examination (exams in all the subjects) and there is the CET (common entrance test, also exams in all the subjects). The results of these two exams are added together, and according to that one can choose a university or college. (Also here: the higher ones scores are, the less fee he has to pay).

But how does PUC look like? During the 2years in PUC, all the students study like crazy, nonstop, from 6 in the morning (morning coaching) to 8 in the evening (evening supplementary classes). The amount of knowledge they have to fill into their brains is extreme, and the pressure is similar: if your scores on the exams are not good enough, than you only get to a bad college, and then you're screwed.

And you're especially screwed, if you fail on the PUC or the CET.... And this happened to Karan. He failed in 2 subjects, and now he has 2 more months to learn the things he was unable to in 2 years. Quite good chances, eh?

And my main problem with this is that with Karan finally i had a companion, we went to cinema, we had fun, we were talking, laughing, etc. For one week it seemed like that life is becoming better. And now he has to get back to his books and study for the coming 2 months. So i can forget about him until the 13th of July.... :(((

szegény Karan! te nem tudsz neki segíteni a tanulásban?

egy nem ide tartozó kérdés: mi alapján döntöd el, milyen nyelven írsz egy postot?
